The whistles, each one unique and made by hand by Ugis Puzulis - a latvian ceramic artisan. Most are approxiametly 7cm long, 3-4cm wide and about 7cm high. The animals are birds, dogs and a cat and are  beautifully decorated and glazed.
The stonewareware clay piece is both decorative and usuable as a whistle.
The ceramic whistles produces a clear sound. These whistles tell the story of Latvian ceramic tradition - a craft that has been perfected over hundreds of years and is still thriving today.
 
In 2015 with Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union these special Latvian products were given out as Presidency souveniers.
 
All the whistles are unique and different - with their own personality. The whistles sent out may differ to the photograph.
