Compiled by volunteers from the Latvian Association of South Australia, Latvian Flavours is a loving tribute to Latvian heritage. Recognising that there was a very real likelihood that treasured family recipes were being lost or forgotten, the Latvian Association started sharing recipes between its members and also holding regular cooking classes to demonstrate and talk about the history, culture and stories of each recipe. Now in its third edition, this compilation continues to be a much treasured part of Adelaide based Latvians.
The Second Edition covers the cuisine associated with cultural events from January to June, including Easter and Midsummer (Jāņi).
